Many conclusions can be drawn from this passage, as this story symbolizes the situation in which the world, completely removed from the will of God, tries to unite to create a system that leads to freedom, fulfillment or happiness ("whose top may reach unto heaven") in a purely human way, outside of divine terms.

The result is that God sent a spirit of confusion or lack of understanding that threatened the unity of this people and caused them to fail in their objective. It is noteworthy that God noticed that the people were totally united and speaking a single language, which is nothing other than what is still promoted (as in its beginnings thousands of years ago) today in the 21st century by those who seek to introduce the New World Order as we will see below; a single thought, without the possibility of dissent, which would allow them to establish a single government, a single religion and a single currency.

Another factor that can be highlighted is that this entire elitist group that rules the world, and plans to establish in a totally manifest way its New World Order, constantly appeals to deception and concealment of its true intentions (Job 15, Isaiah 9, 2 Thessalonians 2, 2 John 1; Revelation 12). Obviously, this goes hand in hand with the fact that these people serve the purposes of the devil, who is rightly defined in the Bible as the father of lies.

The entire New World Order that has been planned for a long time is called two very notable things, or at least one that strongly suggests that is what it is. One of them is the mystery of iniquity (2 Thessalonians 2); we must pay attention to the fact that for the great majority of people it will be something difficult to discern (mystery), because it will be a plan perfectly designed so that the great mass of the people will find it impossible to decipher it and realize who is behind it, and with what intentions.

Only those of us who have the guidance of the Holy Spirit can receive this revelation, but the vast majority of people, as the Word says, had their understanding blinded (2 Corinthians 4) by the devil (mentioned as the "god of this century"), so much so that they were susceptible to believing his lies (2 Thessalonians 2), because they had not accepted God (John 3; 2 Thessalonians 2).

This, as can be inferred, or at least leads one to think very strongly, is closely related to the passage that speaks of the ephah with a woman inside (Zechariah 5), which according to the story itself, is destined to be transported to Shinar (coincidentally, or not so much, the same place where the Tower of Babel would be built), where it is planned to build a building, on top of which the ephah would be placed.

According to the passage, the ephah with the woman inside (a more than obvious symbol of the occultism and secrecy with which the world elite operates) represents evil and iniquity on Earth.

Many times when the term woman is mentioned in the Bible it refers to church, religion or cult. If both terms are combined, the ephah with the woman inside can be defined as Satanism or hidden worship of the devil, very characteristic, as has already been said, of the members of the world's financial and political elite, who precisely received their power from him.

First of all, it can be mentioned that he will have power over every language, people and nation (Revelation 13), with which he will be a leader of worldwide reach, who will receive his power and authority from the devil (Revelation 13), typified in the Bible as the dragon (Revelation 12), and will exercise this power for 7 years, symbolized as the 70th week within the prophecy of the seventy weeks (Deuteronomy 9), in which God will culminate his deal with Israel to free it from sin.

This 7-year period is referred to in God's Word as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24, Mark 13). It will also be mentioned that at the beginning of this period he will be able to achieve a peace pact (Deuteronomy 11, 1 Thessalonians 5), which some dare to predict could be the one that brings peace between Israel and Palestine, which have been in conflict for thousands of years.

In the first part of his mandate there will be an apparent state of peace, security and abundance (Deuteronomy 11, 1 Thessalonians 5), which will be abruptly interrupted (1 Thessalonians 5). Another notable aspect is that they will try to kill him but, although he is mortally wounded, he will be able to survive (Deuteronomy 11, Revelation 13), something that will awaken the admiration and adoration of all people (Revelation 13 and 17). What is also described is that there will come a time when he will not respect the peace covenant he had made (Deuteronomy 11), most eschatologists assume that it will be in the middle of the 7 years of his mandate, and at that time he will place the symbol of the abomination of desolation, desecrating the temple of Jerusalem (Deuteronomy 11, Matthew 24, Mark 13). Here we have reached a point of agreement with the theme we had seen, of the object that symbolizes the abomination of desolation.

What is presumed is that, since this object symbolizes the manifest execution of the New World Order plan, it will be placed in the region of Shinar (Zechariah 5) at the beginning of the 7 years, which is when the entire plan begins to be implemented, and then in the middle of the 7 years, it would be placed in the temple of Jerusalem (Deuteronomy 11, Matthew 24, Mark 13), beginning what eschatologists call the worst part of the mandate period, having an unprecedented persecution against the people of Israel, in which it is presumed that it will be when the greatest number of people will disappear, that is, where the planet will be most "desolate", not only because of the dead people but because many will hide and take refuge to avoid being killed, since an indication is given to the people of God that, upon seeing the abomination of desolation placed in the temple of Jerusalem, they should flee to the mountains and look for a place to hide and not be executed (Matthew 24, Mark 13).

In fact, many of those who will be in that 7-year stage of the Great Tribulation will be judged, and many of them executed (Revelation 13), having an apparent victory, since God will allow the world leader for a time to make war against the saints and defeat them (Revelation 13).

Regarding this subject, it must be said that there is the promise that no conspiracy or weapon forged against the people of God will prosper or succeed (Isaiah 54), at least not definitively, but that God will inevitably make his people prevail.

At this stage it is presumed that the leader of the world government will become arrogant, exalted and speak blasphemies against God, rising up against Him and everything that is called god or is an object of worship (Deuteronomy 11, 2 Thessalonians 2, Revelation 13), although it is clarified that he will worship the god of fortresses (Deuteronomy 11), who can be inferred to be the devil, from whom he will receive all the power to become the world leader.

As a perhaps not so salient detail, in addition to opposing and ignoring the God of his parents, he will also renounce love for women (Deuteronomy 11), from which it can be inferred that he will be someone homosexual or directly asexual, although this is usually interpreted in different ways, but this interpretation is the most frequent. It is also presumed that the moment when the abomination of desolation is placed in the temple of Jerusalem, halfway through the 7 years of the mandate, will be when this world leader sits there, posing as God (1 Thessalonians 2), pretending that all attention and worship is completely on him, which is nothing other than what the devil has always intended, who will empower this world leader; to replace God as the target of attention and worship.

In fact, when the term antichrist is mentioned in the Bible, it does not refer to a specific individual, but to a spirit. And those who have the spirit of the antichrist are defined precisely as those who deny the Father and the Son (1 John 2 and 4; 2 John 1), something that, as we see, this world leader will clearly manifest by blaspheming against God, and claiming authority and worship for himself.

This is closely related to what is going to be developed now, and which generates a great variety of opinions on this subject within the church itself, and it is the subject of the mark of the beast (Revelation 13). Just as we, being children of God, have the seal of the Holy Spirit of promise as an indication of our belonging to Him, the devil, for those who are under his dominion and agree to be within his system, will also have a distinctive mark of belonging, and it will be precisely the mark of the beast.

As we have already said, the subject of the mark of the beast has always generated endless diverse opinions regarding what it means, whether it is something material, or something merely spiritual. To fully understand this topic, it must be clarified that in the passage where it refers to him (Revelation 13), it is mentioned that the world leader (mentioned in that account as the first beast) will have a kind of second, or direct assistant, called the second beast, also named in another passage as the false prophet (Revelation 16), implying that it will be a person or organization that will have a religious character, with an appearance of piety (having two horns like a lamb), but in his way of speaking he will denote that he is someone not aligned with the will of God (will speak like a dragon).

This character is mentioned as someone who exercises the authority of the world leader (that is, of the first beast) in his presence, performing all kinds of miracles and supernatural signs, ordering the world leader to be worshipped and praised, and also ordering those on earth to make an image to the world leader (the image of the beast), to which the Word clarifies that this image will be allowed to speak (something that in another time would have been totally unthinkable, that an image could speak, but today with the technology of cartoons and artificial intelligence it is something perfectly possible). And that animated image that will speak, will order the execution of all those who do not worship or praise the world leader, and it is precisely the one that makes or orders that everyone has to put on the mark of the beast, and that no one will be able to buy or sell, unless they have that mark on them, which infers that this distinctive mark will bring with it some payment or buying-selling system, which will be the only one considered commercially valid.

Revelation 13:15 gives us more details about what those days of total global control will be like, when the New World Order becomes centralized and falls into the hands of a dictator who will rule the world for a short time.

The Bible does not provide many details about the image of the beast. However, we do know this: this breathing, talking image of the beast will demand worship and anyone who refuses to worship it will be killed.

Revelation 20:4 tells us that the mode of execution for those who do not worship the image of the beast at the order of that dictator will be beheading.

What exactly is the nature of the image of the beast?

The Bible doesn't specifically say it, but the image of the beast could very well be a life-like statue, although with the rise of new technologies there's a good chance it could be a hologram, android, cyborg, human-animal hybrid, or even a human clone. Whatever it is, the image of the beast is the focus of worship in the "beast religion" during the second half of the Great Tribulation (the last 3 1/2 years of history and before the return of Jesus Christ).

It may seem strange to us that everyone worships the image of a man in this way, but the personality cults of the totalitarian governments of the 20th century are a good example of this type of cult.

All we have to do is remember totalitarian states like the Soviet Union or Communist China, and their ever-present images of Joseph Stalin (1878-1953) or Mao Zedong (1893-1976), and see the pattern that will eventually be fulfilled in the Antichrist (the dictator who will rule the world for 7 years) when the new world government is established and centralized.

That image of the beast is animated in some way; it has breath and can speak. And whether the image is animated supernaturally or through technology (artificial intelligence), the result will be impressive. Under this totalitarian global government of the beast and his accomplice, all inhabitants of the planet will receive a mark. Without the mark they will not be able to participate in the economy (no one will be able to buy or sell except those who have the mark or the name).

Currently, in the 21st century, according to "experts" from the World Economic Forum (WEF) such as the Israeli thinker and writer Yuval Noah Harari, we are considered hackable animals and one of the strategies is that we can be hacked by governments and corporations to manipulate everything, from feelings to decisions.

Something else to keep in mind is that at the end of the 7 year period, this world leader along with his second in command, obviously inspired by the devil, will join forces with all the armies of the East, and in general uniting all the kings of the earth, to fight against God (Revelation 16) and take the city of Jerusalem (at least, this is what most eschatologists claim, since it mentions the great city, theoretically Jerusalem, which is divided into three parts), gathering all the assembled armies at Mount Megiddo, which in Hebrew translates as Armageddon (Revelation 16), which is located very close to Jerusalem, another clue that suggests they will attempt to storm the city.

It can be unequivocally interpreted that the great Babylon, as proven by several references in the Word, typifies the motivation of the entire world elite, which is trying by all means to achieve the construction of a merged and unified system in politics (the kings of the earth are mentioned in the passage as beneficiaries of this entire system), religion (since there is a very visible intention to unite all the religions of the world into one, generating a world religious system, which of course would facilitate the unification of the other two parts of the system) and economy on a global basis (It is also mentioned in the passage that the merchants of the earth also benefit from the system), that is, to finish its Tower of Babel, doing what its ancestors could not do in their time. And what is trying to be taught is that God will once again cause the whole initiative to fail, bringing down the entire political, religious and economic system, that is, all of Great Babylon.

It is implied in the Bible that this entire system will be directed from a specific city, which reigns over all the kings of the earth (Revelation 17), and from this metropolis the entire system would supposedly be commanded, as it was originally in the region of Shinar in the initial attempt in the times of Nimrod thousands of years ago.

Summary of the End of Times (New Order of the Centuries)

1. According to what can be interpreted from the Word, the New World Order is a plan devised by the world's financial and political elite, which consists of globally unifying politics, religion and economics.
